50 Things to Do While Bored During Quarantine

The world is currently a very strange and scary place and the most important thing we can do is stay home to help return things to normalcy. If you find yourself bored or needing a distraction from everything going on here is a list of 50 activities you can try:


1.) Read all of the articles on The Blue & White

2.) Bake something from scratch

3.) Cook a meal for your family

4.) Go for a walk (remember to practice social distancing)

5.) Download Duolingo and work on learning a new language

6.) Read a book you have been meaning to get to

7.) Check out Abby True's watchlist to find some great shows and movies to watch.

8.) Have a Netflix party with your friends

9.) Keep a journal to write in each day

10.) Do an at-home workout (you can find plenty from a simple youtube search)

11.) Work on the school assignments you are being given

12.) Contact at least one friend a day to check in on them

13.) Organize and get rid of all of the old photos and contacts on your phone

14.) Create a scrapbook for a past event/trip in your life

15.) Reorganize and redecorate your room

16.) Host a family game night

17.) Get in touch with your extended family

18.) Create your own quarantine art portfolio

19.) Play with your pet (if you don’t have a pet, create a pet rock)

20.) Go through and look at your old family photos

21.) Try on all your clothes to see what fits and create new outfit ideas

22.) Go back to your oldest documents on google classroom and read all of the awful things you’ve written in the past

23.) Create a slideshow on a topic you are passionate about

24.) Do the chores you are being given

25.) Create a shopping cart/wishlist off all the stuff you want to buy online

26.) Do some yoga

27.) Make a collage with old magazines and newspapers you might have

28.) Brainstorm a dream vacation

29.) Take a nap

30.) Do a puzzle

31.) Meditate

32.) Try a new hairstyle

33.) Pick a topic you want to learn about and start studying it

34.) Built a pillow fort

35.) Become a barista for a day and experiment with drink recipes

36.) Listen to and try to find new music

37.) Write some poems or stories

38.) Become a photographer for the day by taking photos of outside or things in your house and then edit them

40.) After each movie or tv show you watch write your own review of it

41.) Listen to a new podcast

42.) Make a list of your favorite songs, movies, tv shows, or books

43.) Keep track of your horoscope

44.) Work on learning a new instrument (if you don’t have any instruments in your house make your own i.e. shakers.)

45.) Cook a family recipe

46.) Read some of your old childhood books (if you still have them) to feel nostalgic

47.) Binge-watch Youtube videos

48.) Download a new game on your phone

49.) Work on a DIY project

50.) Make your own list of things to do when bored
